Friends of the WCFSO

Join the volunteer and fundraising arm of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony!

The Friends of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony assists in the presentation of 5-7 free Lollipop Concerts for young children. The Friends also sponsors the annual Young Artist Concerto Competition, awarding three winners with cash prizes. In addition, the group facilitates the WCFSO Youth Concerts, which offer over 4000 Northeast Iowa fourth, fifth and sixth graders the opportunity to experience a live orchestra performance.

The week before most WCFSO concerts the Friends host Meet the Artists events at which Artistic director Jason Weinberger and the featured guest artist speak to and mix with partons in informal settings.

The most ambitious project undertaken by the Friends of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony is its series of Notable Affairts parties, year-round fund-raising events that offer unique themes for paying guests. For more information on this season’s Notable Affairs parties and current party openings, visit our Events page.

Become a Friend of the WCFSO and support its educational work by making a donation to the WCFSO.
